We are making the dfl a better place for trans people.
WE NEED A CHANGE.
We cannot have a big tent if marginalized genders (trans, intersex, non-binary, and two spirit) are not welcome in the party. We must make trans inclusion explicit and mandatory.
And we must ensure that DFL elected officials, party officers, and volunteers are equipped with the tools they need to create a welcoming party for trans people.
WE have achieved our original goal of changing the platform. Now it’s time to change the bylaws so the dfl becomes a truly inclusive and welcoming space for trans people.
This summer, join us for trainings, door knocks, and gatherings to learn more about the dfl and develop trans leaders to meet this moment.
